Oh Dear! Look how long it has been since this sorry little journal was updated. My niece, Gwendolyne, is a lovely girl but she is just about the worst communicator I have ever seen. She is usually galivanting through Belize or Guatamala and has no time for writing. Well "galivanting" is not really the word for it. She does a great deal of good everywhere she goes. Now she wants to go to Darfur, but her father is having a fit about that. I hope good sense will prevail and she will stay away from such a horrible place. I can't bear to think of the danger to her there, though I sincerely hope that someone can help those poor people.

Oh, I should introduce myself. I am Patricia Wilde. I live in San Francisco and I have many beautiful nieces who call me Aunt Patty. This past Christmas the little dears all got together and purchased a computer for me. I am none too sure how to work everything on it but I will do my best. This journal is one of my first efforts. I intend to keep a running commentary of my Wilde family's doings.

As my first official entry, I can have no better occasion to record than the Birthday party of my dear friend, Carol B. A truly fantastic lady!

Ellowyne has decorated her house nicely, as you can see.

You may have noticed that there has not been an entry to this Journal for about a month. That is because my lovely cousin, Ellowyne seems to be far too busy setting up her MySpace site and her Blog at Wilde Imagination. As I hate to see anything being wasted, I have decided to hijack this Journal for my own purposes.



Don't be alarmed, the flavor of this site won't change all that much. She and I are quite a bit alike. Chronic Ennui seems to run in our family.

This is my lovely cat, Sybil. She has 9 personalities, most of them unpleasant. But if you know how to treat her she can be a very good friend.



This morning she seemed in a sweet and cuddly mood and I felt it was time to introduce her to Galahad.

My Father is furious with me. I don't care though. I know that I have done the right thing.

I have not made an entry for a while. Ennui,and the heat, had overcome me. But I must rouse myself, for today I am invited to my dear Aunt Patty's house next door for tea.

A proper Tea should always be formal. To please my Auntie I dress in Pearls and Pastels. I also decide to bring a friend.





She never minds extras to tea.

Greetings all,

This is my initial journal entry. I have just come to live with my Aunt Patty in upstate New York, but it pleases her to imagine me in the world that my creators have made for me.

Therefore I am currently in residence at my beautiful "painted lady" Victorian home in San Francisco that once belonged to my beloved Grandmother. My Great-Aunt Patty lives next door in an identical home. My Great-Great Grandfather was very wealthy and at the time of my Grandmother's marriage built a mirror image of his home on the lot next to his as a wedding gift to the happy couple.





Dear Aunt Patty never married and inherited the family estate. My home is on the left in the photo and hers is on the right. I complain a bit about the fire-escape built onto hers but she is understandably nervous of fires.


This is a picture of my china cabinet showing off my collection of over-sized tea cups.





And here is a portion of my doll collection.






I think that is enough for now, I feel my ennui descending upon me once again.
